The 4th DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit 2013 is an intensive 1-day educational event on e-commerce strategies. For the first time, we are taking this event to various locations in the country with the intent of promoting e-commerce in the Philippines. (Speaker: Donald Lim, Managing Director, MRM Worldwide)
For the 4th straight year, Donald will share his insight on how e-commerce and digital marketing is growing in the Philippines.
Before MRM, Donald was the former President and CEO of Yehey! Corporation, one of the Philippines’ top digital marketing holding companies, which boasts having managed the greatest number of digital marketing campaigns and websites for local and multinational brands. He was also President and CEO of Media Contacts Manila, winner of 2009’s Media Agency of the Year.

One of the challenges we have in the e-commerce industry is the lack of accurate data that properly represents the growth of our sector. There is also a debate on whether e-commerce sales generated by traditional businesses like airlines and hotels will need to be considered in measuring and reporting our country’s e-commerce growth.
Dr. Nick Fontanilla will present an e-commerce measurement framework that DigitalFilipino shall support and encourage industry players, Internet citizens to contribute. All with the end objective of presenting an accurate picture on the growth of e-commerce in our country.

Yahoo! Philippines is a major player in promoting digital marketing in the Philippines. The company has also engage in content and e-commerce partnerships that pave for e-commerce revenues to be generated online. Paolo will be sharing their recent learnings from the Yahoo! Technostorm campaign, among others on how community, content, and conversation can result to e-commerce sales.
Paolo Cesar Lacuna is the Chief Strategy Officer of Yahoo! Philippines. He has led in the development of several digital campaigns of Yahoo! Philippines’ key accounts – Globe Telecom, Smart Telecommunications, Digitel (Sun Cellular), Unilever, P&G, Colgate, Nokia, Samsung, etc. He also launched several Custom Branded Execution microsites – Coke Music Studio with Coke, Beauty Talk with Unilever, Money Matters with BDO. He has also led in the development and execution of key tentpole events – TechnoStorm, Purple Hunt and OMG Awards. These tentpole events had very good results in audience and revenue numbers. Prior to Yahoo!, Paolo was a product manager in Globe Telecom, managing BlackBerry and mobile data services for the Enterprise Segment.

Mannix, with his experience in helping dotcoms in their early days such as AyosDito and Lazada, shall give practical pointers on what e-commerce marketing techniques can work this 2013.
Mannix Pabalan is a digital strategist. He just started Hashtag Digital Inc. switching from the dotcom start-up world to running his own digital agency business. A furious digital strategist, Mannix will share “challenger” approaches that can get an online or offline business be noticed.
