Meeting Yehuda Berg

LAST Monday, I had the opportunity to meet Yehuda Berg during the launch of his new book, "The Power to Change Everything." Yehuda is known as "the people’s Kabbalist." He shares these teachings as technology to improve everyday life. In his new book, Yehuda examines the problematic areas of politics, religion, environment and economy and points out our most common and collective blind spots. It is impressive as well how he used social media to spread the word about his advocacy.

AFTER the Digital Filipino E-Commerce Summit last November, the last thing on my mind was the need to organize a Christmas party. However, to my surprise, members of the club and blogging network were asking for it. That was the time I realized, as I was told, that many of them don’t have a community to celebrate the holiday season with. That’s how it happened, DigitalFilipino had its party last Monday and that for Blog4Reviews is scheduled tonight.

LAST Tuesday night, I had a test webinar broadcast for a weekly webinar show, Viral Ideas, with bloggers Juned Sonido and Coy Caballes. We took turns discussing a viral idea, based on what we found online and from personal experiences.

What caught my attention recently was an essay written by a Korean club member of mine, Jaeyoun Kim, titled “My Short Essay About the Philippines.” His paper reflects his observation about Filipinos not loving the Philippines, resulting in our current state of affairs. He made comparison as to how much the people of Korea have made personal sacrifices in order to help their country grow. He also encouraged Filipinos to love their country and teach their children to do the same. That essay was written in September 2003.

CONSUMER COPING & BUYING BEHAVIOR REPORT (2nd Qtr 2006): A Nationwide Survey of Budgeting & Purchasing Decisions of Households on More than 103 Items

“Consumer Coping Behavior Survey” is a multi-company sponsored survey that allows businesses in different product and service categories to learn how their consumer market segments are doing in face of hard times. The latest wave of the survey was done during the 3rd quarter of 2001.

The 2006 study features 103 items organized in 15 categories ranging from food products, beauty care, health care and personal care products, to entertainment (dining out, movies, etc) and education expenditures. More than 19 Household budgeting decisions are also featured.
