Product Winners Named at E-Services 2003
[February 17, 2003] The 3rd edition of E-Services Philippines: An Information Technology (IT) Outsourcing and Subcon Exhibition once again showcase the vast IT resources of the local industry. Over 120 corporate and institutional players in the IT industry converged at the World Trade Center to bolster the nation’s efforts to become the E-Services Hub of Asia.
E-Services 2003 is part of the DTI efforts, through Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), to actively promote key IT services, namely, animation, contact centers, software development, business process outsourcing, medical transcription, among others.
Best Product Awards
This year, best product awards were given to 4 companies. Two specializing in wireless applications and another two on e-business category.
In the wireless applications category, Jupiter Systems and GiveMe Unlimited were named as winners.
Jupiter Systems”s winning entry is its Mobile ERIC Sales Force Automation. Mobile ERIC automates field sales activities and integrates into enterprise financial and distribution systems. Transaction reporting for orders, payments, deliveries, and stock movements are posted direct to the back office via Palm OS Hot Sync.
GiveMe Unlimited is also another winner for this category. Its InfoTxt solution allows companies to have a means of communicating various important information through text messaging to its clients.
The 1st runner is Asian Navigation and Tracking Systems with its Person Finder product. This is a location based service that allows a users to locate a person using his/her mobile phone.
In the e-business category, ADTX Systems Inc. and Navigator Systems Inc. emerged as winners.
The Multi-Monitor Control Panel is ADTX winning entry. This is a unique Windows-based application that allows an operator on a PC to control the display of images on a separate higher resolution monitor on a separate PC located over a network or Internet. This application can view, manipulate, and zoom high-resolution images up to 2000%.
Navigator Systems has its NAVSYS product named as winner too for this category. It is a fully integrated human resource information systems, payroll, time and attendance, and e-Manager. This Philippine-made extensive application is comparable to the likes of Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, and the like.
Special Citation – Public Service
The Land Transporation Office Information Technology project also got a special citation at the event for using IT in delivering effective public service.
DigitalFilipino.com named the Best Website Award winner once more in this event. Cybercity Teleservices won the award with Online Interactive Communications as runner-up.
Definitely, the awards at the event is always something to look forward to that gives us all a chance to showcase our finest work to our peers. We hope to see more entries next year.
