E-Commerce Index Philippines Reports
E-Commerce Index (ECI) Philippines is a monthly tracking and measurement study that determines the extent of e-commerce activities of the top corporations in three industries – manufacturing, retail and wholesale, and services.
ECI comes in two parts. First is the volume of e-commerce activities of top corporations as a percent of revenues and purchases. Second is the monthly tracking to establish if e-commerce activities of top corporations expanded or contracted.
This study will be conducted monthly based on interviews with a panel of randomly selected supply chain executives of top manufacturing corporations in the Philippines – 400 for manufacturing, 100 for retail and wholesale, and 150 for services. The first survey, a pilot, was completed in August 2013 among 250 supply chain professionals.
ECI Philippines is a project of I-Metrics Asia-Pacific Corporation, an e-commerce research and consulting agency, in cooperation with Digital Filipino and in partnership with the Foundation of the Society of Fellows in Supply Management (SOFSM). SOFSM is the research arm of the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM). PISM is the umbrella organization for supply chain professionals.
