This year’s summit theme focuses on “E-Commerce Growth & Opportunities”. Our e-commerce economy went through tough challenges in 2018 and have seen improvements since.

With various initiatives coming into play from the government and private sector, e-commerce is growing in diverse fields and expected to impact the country’s gross domestic product at an increasing and faster rate in the next 5 years.

With e-commerce retail sales on the rise, we invited leaders to share their experience in making e-commerce a reality from a B2B & B2C perspective.

1. Enrique DelaRosa San Juan of Oh My Grocery
Demand for grocery delivery in Cebu increased in the past 2 months and it will be interesting to learn from Enrique’s lessons learned in this space and changes in customer’s online buying habits.

2. Cristina Gascon of 5G Pharmacorp
Pharmacies and drugstores are often visited by customers to meet their health needs. As more Filipinos protect themselves, trips to the pharmacy are becoming less. It will be interesting to learn how e-commerce and online delivery is changing that.

3. Michael Angelo Alano of Subida Souvenirs was hard hit by the pandemic as its business heavily relied on tourists. The launch of his online store a few years ago yielded orders outside of Dumaguete. He also expanded into new products relevant to present times.

4. Jackie Morales of Digital Printing PH was also affected by the pandemic as printing requirements from schools and events were put into a halt. Requiring rethinking of its business model and new income stream.
